Before updating

Before updating a deployed system, review the applicable release notes and export supported settings from SmartConfig2. Keep the exported configuration with the deployment records and restore it only when the release notes indicate that it is appropriate.

Firmware updates should use the SmartConfig2 firmware uploader and the firmware file provided for the selected SmartSampler2 device. SmartConfig2 checks the firmware board type before an upload begins and displays upload progress. Keep the device powered and connected for the duration of the update, and follow the release-specific instructions.
