3. Installation
- Disconnect SmartSampler2 and the field power supply.
- Mount the PowerExpander securely with enough clearance for connectors and cables.
- Connect the module to the designated compatible SmartSampler2 expansion interface.
- Connect each field load to its assigned output port.
- Fit a fuse selected for the load and cable. Do not exceed 7.5 A per port.
- Tighten all weatherproof connectors and close unused ports with their protective caps.
- Restore power and confirm that the PowerExpander is available in SmartConfig2.
- Test each output individually before starting unattended operation.
Important: If a fuse opens during commissioning, find and correct the overload, short circuit, wiring fault, or stalled load before replacing it.
