Check Package

Please inspect the received package for any visible damage before opening. If you notice any signs of damage, document them and inform us immediately.

Insert Coin Battery for Real-Time Clock

top view open

Before deploying the SmartSampler in the field, it is recommended to insert a 2032 coin battery. This battery will power the real-time clock (RTC), allowing it to keep track of time even if the sampler resets or loses power.

Check Voltage Settings

The voltage output to each sensor port can be adjusted by unscrewing the SmartSampler lid and modifying the jumper settings indicated on the PCB.

The default voltage settings for the sensor supply are as follows:
(VIN = applied Input voltage)

  • RS-485: VIN
  • Analog : 5V
  • SDI-12: VIN
  • RS-232: VIN
  • I2C: 3.3V

Please consult the sensor’s datasheet to verify the correct voltage settings and make any necessary adjustments. Incorrect voltage settings may damage both the sensor and the SmartSampler.
