Modules are smart devices that expand the functionality of the SmartSampler2. They are designed to handle specific tasks independently, while staying fully integrated with the SmartSampler2 control system.
- Scalable setup: Multiple modules of the same type can be connected. This allows handling the same kind of task at different locations, or simply expanding overall capacity.
- Task-oriented: Each module focuses on a well-defined function (e.g., switching, flow control, or pumping). This keeps the system modular and avoids unnecessary complexity.
- Seamless integration: Modules communicate directly with the SmartSampler2 and are configured through SmartConfig2.1, via the built-in ports.
Detailed descriptions of available modules, their specifications, and configuration steps are provided in the individual module documentation.
Note
Use modules when you need to extend the SmartSampler beyond its built-in ports and functions — they allow you to scale from small test setups to large, distributed systems without changing the base device.
