Commonly used settings can be accesed via the basic settings view.
Basic Sampler settings
Users can choose from predefined programs or write their own custom code.
The sample interval determines how frequently the defined program will execute. The warm-up time specifies the duration for warming up the connected sensors before the program begins running.
Time settings
It is crucial to set the time to UTC+0 if the telemetry system is being used. The sampler will synchronize with the computer’s time and apply the defined offset accordingly.
Basic Sensor settings
The read interval defines how often the SmartSampler will collect data from the sensors. The save interval specifies the number of readings to be taken before saving one of them. The averaging setting determines how many previous readings will be used to calculate the average.
Setting the read interval to 1, the save interval to 5, and the averaging to 10 results in the following behavior:
The SmartSampler will take a new sensor reading every second, save every fifth reading, and calculate an average based on the last ten readings once the cycle is complete.
Basic Output settings
Those settings may differ based on the selected sampler mode.
The pump time specifies how long the SmartSampler will power each output. The wipe time indicates the duration after which the SmartSampler sends a wipe request to connected sensors. The drain time defines the length of time the SmartSampler should drain the system before initiating a new pump cycle.
