5. Diagnostics & Maintenance

Regular on-site checks help ensure smooth long-term operation.

Routine Site Visit

  • Inspect tubing for leaks, blockages, or pinched sections
  • Verify all connectors are sealed and weatherproof
  • Review SmartSampler logs for warnings or fault messages
  • Test valve switching and pump operation with a short cycle
  • Check that sample containers remain securely attached
  • Clean dirt or dust from the Module exterior using a gentle rinse or damp cloth

Maintenance After Deployment

  • Run a full flush cycle to clear moisture and contamination
  • For gas sampling: allow pumps to run briefly with dry air to reduce internal humidity
  • For liquid sampling: repeat flush cycles for saline or sediment-rich water
  • Inspect and replace tubing if discoloration, residue, or stiffness is observed

Long-Term Care

  • Store the Module in a dry environment
  • Keep tubing and connectors clean and dry between deployments
  • Document configuration and sample container types used for future reference
