Cleaning the Exterior

The AutoSampler is designed for weatherproof operation and can be cleaned with a garden hose. However, to extend the lifespan of the unit, avoid prolonged spraying directly on the screws and sensitive connectors. For more thorough cleaning, use a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.

Running the Clean Cycle

To maintain optimal performance, the AutoSampler features a dedicated clean cycle that flushes each valve position for a preset duration. For best results, follow these guidelines:

If used with rain water Sampler:

  • After Each Deployment: Run the clean cycle with at least tap water to remove residue from the system.
  • Dry Run: Whenever possible, run a final clean cycle without water to remove any residual moisture from the internal components, reducing the risk of biofilm formation and corrosion.

If used as gas Sampler:

  • Dry Run: Whenever possible, run a final clean cycle without water to remove any residual moisture from the internal components, reducing the risk of biofilm formation and corrosion.

Manual Flushing:

  • Manual Switch: Each valve/pump can also be switched manually, this enables the user to check that all valves are working correctly. This also allows the user to flush each port individually

Regular maintenance through these clean cycles will help extend the life of your AutoSampler and ensure consistent performance in the field.
