During regular site visits while the Module is installed and operating, perform the following checks to ensure continued reliability:
Check for Leaks or Blockages (if applicable):
Inspect tubing, fittings, filters, and flow paths for any signs of leakage, clogging, sediment buildup, or restricted flow.
Inspect Connectors and Cables:
Verify that all connectors remain fully seated and weatherproof. Look for cable wear, loose glands, strain, or animal damage.
Review SmartSampler Output and Logs:
Check for error messages, warnings, unusual values, or communication interruptions. Confirm that the Module reports stable and expected readings.
Verify Operational Behavior:
Activate a simple test function (e.g., read a sensor, toggle an output, run a short cycle) to confirm the Module still responds normally.
Check Mechanical Stability:
Ensure the Module remains firmly mounted and has not shifted due to weather, vibration, or environmental conditions.
Clean Exterior Surfaces:
Remove dirt, debris, algae, or salt residues from the Module housing. For weatherproof Modules, gentle rinsing or wiping with a damp cloth is recommended.
Inspect Environmental Exposure:
Confirm that no new environmental risks have appeared (standing water, impact risks, debris buildup, excessive heat, UV exposure).
Verify Power and Energy Sources:
Check battery levels, solar panel condition, and cable connections. Ensure power supply remains stable and within specifications.
Regular site checks help keep the system operating reliably and reduce the likelihood of unexpected downtime.
