To use the PolarityChanger, make sure the SmartSampler is configured correctly.
- Open Outputs → Configuration in the SmartSampler interface.
- Set the corresponding output port to PolarityChanger mode.
The PolarityChanger allows you to reverse the polarity of an output, enabling devices such as peristaltic pumps to run in both directions (forward and reverse).
Important
When a PolarityChanger is connected, the output must always be operated at full power.
Running the output with reduced power (e.g. PWM or partial duty cycle) can damage the PolarityChanger or the connected device.
