4.3.1 Control

The Control tab provides a simple interface to manually switch the SmartSampler2 output ports ON or OFF. This is useful for testing, troubleshooting, or direct manual operation of connected devices such as pumps, valves, or external equipment.

Output Ports

The SmartSampler2 includes four independent output connectors:

  • Output 1 – High-power output (up to 120 W @ VIN)
  • Output 2 – High-power output (up to 120 W @ VIN)
  • Output 3 – High-power output (up to 120 W @ VIN)
  • Output 4 – High-power output (up to 120W @ VIN)

Each output can be switched ON/OFF manually via the buttons below the corresponding connector.

Power In

  • A dedicated Power In connector is shown to the left of the outputs.
  • This connector supplies the system and must be connected to a 10–16 VDC power source.

Use Cases

  • Testing wiring: Verify that pumps, solenoids, or actuators are correctly connected.
  • Manual operation: Run equipment without needing a program or automation sequence.
  • Troubleshooting: Confirm that an output channel is functional before deploying field scripts.

Notes

  • Always ensure the connected load does not exceed the rated power of the selected output port.
  • Manual switching in the Control tab overrides automation temporarily.
