šŸ”Œ Available Input Interfaces

The SmartSampler2 supports the following input types:

  • Analog / UART
    • 6 configurable pins, each usable as Analog (0–5 V) or as part of UART1–3.
  • I²C
    • Standard I²C bus for digital sensors (3.3 V / 5 V selectable).
  • RS-232
    • Standard single-ended serial interface.
  • RS-485
    • Differential bus supporting Modbus RTU sensors.
  • SDI-12
    • SDI-12 compliant multi-drop interface for environmental sensors.
  • Module
    • Expansion port for additional hardware modules.

āš™ļø Enabling Interfaces

  • Each connector has a toggle switch ON/OFF displayed below the corresponding port.
  • Turning a port ON activates the electrical interface and makes its configuration tab available.
  • Turning a port OFF disables the interface, conserving power and preventing unintended communication.

šŸ’¾ Save Settings

  • Press Save after making changes to ensure the interface selection is stored in EEPROM.
  • Saved settings persist after restart.

šŸ“Œ Notes

  • Only enabled ports consume power; disabling unused interfaces is recommended for field deployments.
  • The graphical view of connectors matches the physical layout on the SmartSampler2 housing, making it easier to identify ports during wiring.
  • Each interface requires separate configuration in its respective tab after being enabled here.
